The Foundation for Flex Housing Standards manages the registers of businesses that comply with the standards for housing migrant workers and maintains these norms.
Organizations offering housing for migrant workers can obtain a certificate from the Foundation for Flex Housing Standards. To achieve this, they must meet the standards for housing migrant workers. Housing locations of organizations applying to the Foundation for Flex Housing Standards are inspected annually. If the housing does not meet the standards and issues are not promptly resolved, the housing provider is removed from the Foundation for Flex Housing Standards register.
The Foundation for Flex Housing Standards has two standards: the 'regular' standard for housing migrant workers and the standard for the SNF hiring register.
An organization listed in the 'regular' SNF register meets the standard for housing migrant workers. The standard includes aspects such as space and privacy, sanitation, safety and hygiene, facilities, information provision, fire safety, and good employment practices. Each aspect consists of specific requirements that the housing must meet.
An organization that does not manage its own housing but hires all housing for migrant workers from SNF-approved businesses can apply for the SNF hiring register. The organization must meet the requirements for the SNF hiring register and annually demonstrate that housing for all migrant workers is provided by SNF-approved parties.
